The Wave (Die Welle)

This movie is based on a social experiment that was conducted by Ron Jones called ‘The Third Wave.’ The Wave movie is a German sociopolitical thriller that consists of a high school teacher that had to teach a class on autocracy. Since his class believes that dictatorship can not be established in modern Germany, he decides to create a class experiment to prove that how easy it is to manipulate the masses. The whole class then practice fascism just like it was in the past in Germany during WW2. Overall, things start to get out of hand.

It’s a very interesting movie because it really shows what could happen to a modern city if dictatorship comes back. It’s definitely a worth-watching movie.

I couldn’t find a valid Youtube link to watch it but here is the trailer.
