The picture below is of the sunset on the beach a few weeks ago. My mother is a pretty religious person and taught me that you can pray anywhere and to always pray when you feel at peace because you don’t always have to pray to God when you are going through a rough time. This way you can be at ease and focus on your prayers to God. We stayed at the beach until sunset and there was barely anyone around. My mother took this opportunity to pray. I never found it odd to pray in public or anywhere, but for some reason, I found it odd that she was praying out loud, she never really did that. She said she felt this strength from inside her to pray that she couldn’t help but pray out loud. She said that even though you can pray anywhere at any time, sometimes depending on your surrounding you find a need to just let it all out. This has strengthened my faith because now I find a greater sense of ease and calmness when I am in any area if I search from within. It feels good to be so comfortable and confident in my own skin and faith that I am unashamed of praying in public outside of my usual comfort zone of a church. I also really love having a connection to God anywhere.
