Black Robe Movie Review

Father LaForgue set out on a mission to Quebec to try to convert the Indians to become Catholic. Father had taken a young boy, Daniel, with him on this mission. While trying to convert these people, LaForgue realizes that this will be harder than expected. While on this mission Daniel falls in love with a local Indian girl, causing much tension between everyone. The Indians aren’t happy with the girl’s choice and Father LaForgue doesn’t agree with it. Meanwhile, the Indians debating killing these black robes because they believe that they are killing their spirit. When trying to take the black robes to the Huron, they are ambushed by another tribe ultimately making them prisoners. These Indians endure much pain and torture and eventually convert just to end all the pain.
