Hanging on many doors in my house are these door decorations, when I asked my mom about them she told me that she didn’t really know much about them and that they were a gift from a friend. The ribbon has religious images on them and based on what I’ve learned in class I would say that they serve the same purpose as the big crosses placed in front of the churches in the movie “Black Robe,” a symbol that this place is sacred grounds to the people residing there. In this case the sacred space is my home for me and my family.
